Gwen's first trip on the trailer was from FL to NY last year, I have no idea how they got her on. Coriander has been on maybe one or two times more than that.

I plan to use targeting but I need to find just the right treat to entice them. They don't like apples or carrots, I've tried both and they won't eat them- even mixed in their grain.

Now there's really no way I can get them out by Wednesday. I'm begging the BO right now to let me put them in the big pasture so they can stay outside and the stalls are freed up.smazourekhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03029180368325070266noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3374098783533915699.post-19759008686170229452010-07-25T21:25:13.199-04:002010-07-25T21:25:13.199-04:00Slow and steady will get you there - good luck!Slow and steady will get you there - good luck!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3374098783533915699.post-28020344528862913482010-07-25T19:38:03.930-04:002010-07-25T19:38:03.930-04:00Do the target well? Use something with high "value" like carrots, apples, or grain and click away (like you say). Allow them to back up if the want and just go back to the last place they were comfortable and work from there.
It may take a session or too with Gwen but if you set your mind to the goal and take time it will work. :)Golden the Pony Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15230832980797448174noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3374098783533915699.post-9796483040658224872010-07-25T17:40:41.388-04:002010-07-25T17:40:41.388-04:00OK, I have heard that apples work. So maybe over the next couple of days you put some apple slices at the opening and inside the trailer and let them get used to being in there....Wolfiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04743943656869294788noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3374098783533915699.post-35998218880354861552010-07-25T16:42:27.373-04:002010-07-25T16:42:27.373-04:00"Any other suggestions?"
